Albit improves overwintering, frost resistance of winter cereals and other crops
Increase of resistance of agricultural
crops to hail damage
Anti-stress
effect of Albit, besides increase of plant resistance to pesticide stress,
extreme high or low temperatures, drought, includes the acceleration of recovering
of plants after mechanical damages (hail, squally wind, cloudburst, passing
of machinery, insect pests). In plant cells, Albit activates increased
(ca. in 2 times in comparison with control) level of antioxidant ferments,
so plants gain increased resistance to stress factors. For example, plants
treated with Albit are restored after damages by insect pests better
and faster.
The same occurs with plants damaged by hail: after Albit
treatment plants are restored faster, regenerate injuries, begin to form new
leaves and sprouts.
There are some examples observed in various regions of Russia and foreign
countries.
In Stavropol krai (farm Polyarnaya zvezda, 2014) plants of sugar beet were
significantly damaged after hail. Urgent Albit treatment (100 mL/hà) of plants
of sugar beet promoted of quick recovering and obtaining of yield as in control.
Increase of sugar content up to 19% was observed, however in neighbouring farms
without Albit treatment sugar content was 16-17%. In farm Chapaev 70% of leaves
were damaged after hail, however after Albit treatment yield of sugar beet was
the highest (92.5 t/hà) of all the farm history.
Application of Albit demonstrated high efficacy for recovering
of damaged vineyards after hail. In 2014 year (farm Vinarstvi
Bukovsky, South Moravian Region, Czech Republic) vineyards were severely damaged
by hail in the third decade of May. The insurance company admitted the damage
of 70% area of vineyards. The use of Albit enabled to recover the grapevine
yield after hail from 30% to 80% of the yield in undamaged areas. Yield increase
was 1.60 t/ha (167%) (Fig. 1). Head of the farm noted that "Similar results
were observed at our vineyard back in 2013 and 2012 when we started using Albit
in our enterprise. Throughout all 3 years, Albit has always promoted strong
recovery of vine from hail, and delivered higher yields as compared to control.
Vineyards in South Moravian Region are often exposed to hails, but in the previous
years, when Albit was not used, no such recovery was ever observed."

of vineyards damaged by hail (Vinarstvi Bukovsky, Kobyli na Morave, Czech
Republic, 2014)
In Turkey (2016), plants of cotton were severely damaged
after hail. Urgent foliar spraying with Albit promoted the growth, development
and recovering of the plants (Fig. 2). In 2017, hailstorm damaged plants of
pepper and they, too, were rescued due to Albit application (Fig. 3).

In unfavourable climatic conditions (cloudburst with hail) in
2003 year (Oryol oblast) after Albit treatment yield increase of pea to
control was 11.6-14.5%.
In farm Agrokompleks enterprise Kolos (Krasnodar krai, 2006-2008),
plants of winter wheat were damaged by storming rains and
hail, however due to Albit treatment yield increase was 6.2-8.8% (0.28-0.48
t/hà). In farm Nasha Rodina (Krasnodar krai) — 7.6% (0.42 t/hà).
In all above described cases, decrease of losses after hail was
obtained due to previous treatment with Albit (foliar sprayings in tank mix
with pesticides), and also due to urgent foliar sprayings in dose 100
mL/hà immediately after hail.
Albit can recover regrowth of grass after skewing. In field
trials conducted in Voronezh oblast (2007), foliar spraying with Albit was
applied on mowed field of alfalfa, resulted in accelerating
of regrowth of alfalfa by 57.4-92.0% (3.55-4.38 t/hà of green mass). After
Albit treatment, yield of green mass of clover increased by
40% (by 43.3% due to Albit application after the first hay crop and by 40.4%
– after the second one). Thus, after 2-fold Albit application, additional 144-183
tons of green mass per ha were obtained (yield in control 45 t/hà) (Voronezh
oblast, 2008). Also, yield of green mass of lawn grass due
to Albit treatment was 7.6% (after the first skewing), and 11.3% (after the
second one, Moscow oblast). Moreover, Albit application increased chlorophyll
content in grass by 8.6-9.7%. This fact points to acceleration of photosynthesis,
recovering of sward due to various stresses (skewing, pollution of air and
soil, trampling and temperature swings).
