Report on the Activity of bio-stimulant Albit® against Low Temperature in Cucumber Plantation

Last w inter, we met a very low tem perature in last two m onths. The growth o f cucum ber plants is greenhouses
w as severely suppressed. The grow ing o f plants will be stopped for at least 1-1.5 m onths. Some large-scale
greenhouses w ithout good m anagem ent have to start another crop instead o f keeping the cucumber. The typical
sym ptom o f the dam age is show n on Figure 1. We used to say it with a special C hinese term ‘flow er at the to p ’
m eaning that flow er is higher than the grow ing point which should be higher than the postion o f flow er in normal
condition. Prolonged exposure to low tem perature is the reason for this sym ptom , and this leads to substantial
losses o f yield.

Since last January, som e farm ers started to use A lbit at their greenhouses. One o f them (M rs H ongling ZH AO at
G uangyang district, Langfang city o f HEBEI province) used 1:3750 dilution o f Albit sprayed on the top part o f
plants. The farm er sprayed tw o tim es with interval 7 days. A fter 15 days, we visited her field. She was so happy
with the result o f Albit. The crop com pletely recovered from the suppression (see figure 2).
